As Stated in Vogue Paris - November 2015
Aurélie Bidermann is a French jewelry house founded in 2003 by the designer of the same name. During her childhood, she enjoyed altering her mother's jewelry, and her parents, avid collectors, took her to antique shops and Parisian art galleries. Aurélie Bidermann studied with Sotheby's department of Contemporary Art before obtaining her diploma in gemology, which eventually took her in the direction of jewelry design.
Aurélie Bidermann finds inspiration from travel, history and photography for her elegant, fantastical and poetic jewelry. In 2004, Aurélie Bidermann launched an exclusive collection at Colette in Paris. Her great success at the concept store pushed the designer to open other sale points. She opened a jewelry counter at Barney's in New York City and another at Thomas Fair in Miami. The brand also set up in London's Dover Street Market store in Mayfair. The public as well as stars were soon charmed by the designer's jewelry and the likes of Kate Moss, Liv Tyler and Sarah Jessica Parker were quick to become big supporters of the brand.
